The Switch Up
Lemme just say that I love this video. Not just because the song is dope, but because the second half (which starts around the 3 minute mark), is pretty darn realistic.
Love is like a river. And what starts out like a sweet gondola ride along the heart's rippling, sparkling, clear and crisp waterways can quickly turn into a treacherous jaunt through the deep, dark depths of shark-infested seas of Icebergs, Lost Dreams and Busted Windows Land.
Sail cautiously my dears. Waterfalls up ahead.
PS The guy who's singing at the very beginning of the video reminds me of this dude I used to date. He had a beautiful apartment, listened to jazz, cooked dinners for his family ... Then one day he asked me to help him paint the 'reading room' in his crib.
His color choices?
Melon, cantaloupe and a lighter citrus color. ::Insert side eye here::
Once I got home and removed my paint splattered apparel, I promptly deleted his contact information from my phone.
Way too much Martha Stewart swag para mi.
Was that wrong?
