Many months ago, my cousin JM expressed his fancy for Star Trak/Interscope duo Chester French. I listened to a bit of their music over the summer, but I just couldn't get with it. Later, I exchanged music with this guy who asked me what I'd been listening to on the regular. I sent him Vampire Weekend's "Ottoman" and he sent me "She Loves Everybody" by Chester French.
He jokingly said he probably needed narcotics to enjoy "Ottoman," which is strange because I felt like I needed something illegal AFTER listening to Chester French. -- Okay, CF isn't bad. But their stuff is just OK if you ask me. (And that's OK in all caps, baby.) And, trust me, I'm not just saying that because CF is comprised of two tools from Harvard. (gag, gag)
